A crafty day out
Would you like to spend more time with your family out in nature? Do you sometimes see your child getting involved with crafts and find you want to give it a go yourself? Enjoy getting tactile with natural materials and doing something creative?… If so this day out is perfect for you!
Our family craft days are held at our beautiful woodland camp and are all about getting creative, connected and cozy in a wild setting. Using locally and sustainably sourced natural materials there will be a number of different crafts available on the day. There will be a range to suit every age and skill level.
The actual crafts available for the day will depend on time of year, availability of materials etc, however they may well include:
- Whittling Hazel staffs (with added woollen decoration)
- Magic string, 5 finger weaving and other wool finger crafts
- Weaved willow flower crowns
- Willow wands
- Willow or Elder whistle making
- Gypsy flower carving
- Tataki-zomé flag making
We will stop for a hearty lunch halfway through the day which will be warmed over the campfire and often involves seasonal foraged ingredients.
Pricing- £35 per child, £30 per adult. Max 3 children to 1 adult.
