Welcome to Heartwood Bushcraft and rewilding school. We run workshops, courses and parties for adults and children focused on outdoor and self reliance skills, nature connection, human rewilding and play. So if you’d like to develop your Bushcraft, survival or outdoor skills, spend time crafting in nature, or get into the outdoors with your family, you’ve found the right place! Our basecamp is located just south of Bath, with easy access from Bristol and Somerset. We also run courses and workshops across the south west including Dartmoor.

Exciting collaborations in the works…
We have been hard at work expanding our range of offerings and have been in communication with freinds, old and new, plotting and schemeing up some exciting collaborations! Its a bit too early to give much away, for now lets say we are mulling through craft workshops in bristol, carving courses in bath and and awesome family-freindly fire-focused workshop. In the meantime take a look at our september offering; a bushcraft, survival and wildreness living weekend course, aimed at building a strong foundation of key skills used to survive and thrive in the outdoors 🔥

Upgrades to the woodland camp
We have been busy upgrading our cosy woodland camp near Winsely. We are installing a few new features in our communal classroom shelter, including a kitchen and washing up area. Elsewhere in the wood we are looking at installing a compost toilet 🚽! … we are getting dangerously close to looking like a glamping spot 😄

Hello world 🙂
Welcome to Heartwood’s new website and event offerings. I’m looking forward to an exciting year teaching and cant wait to get cracking on our first courses this year. We will be kicking off with some green woodworking workshops and a foraging day in the spring with some weekend courses coming later in the year.
